Role Summary
Sr Director - Tech at Lilly Manufacturing & Quality oversees IT landscape for new site operations, leading digital transformation initiatives and ensuring IT readiness for startup and ongoing operations at Houston, TX or Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities
- Ensure site operational readiness from IT perspective; lead site startup and integration of IT systems including infrastructure, warehouse management and logistics, data historian, real time floor tracking, digital plant, laboratory information management, CAPA systems, access security, building monitoring, risk management, and MES.
- Be a member of the Site Leadership Team and provide IT site functional leadership.
- Develop and implement site IT strategic and business plan; benchmark innovative solutions; adapt road map to site evolution and trends; partner cross-functionally to establish and implement site IT roadmap; maintain a safe work environment.
- Lead staffing to meet site and functional agenda; coach and develop team; foster Lilly values and operational excellence; lead recognition, pay, and promotion decisions; lead talent assessment and succession planning; support site recruiting to build IT capability.
- Ensure IT organization is functionally strong and operationally centered; maintain a solution-focused organization; prioritize and remove barriers; oversee technical activities; promote knowledge sharing and education.
Qualifications
- Basic: A Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 10+ years of leadership in Pharma IT with manufacturing IT/OT leadership experience.
- Additional Preference: 10+ years of experience with MES implementations, data integration, and advanced analytics; flexibility to localize in any part of the US; position based at one of Lilly's API manufacturing sites with travel to other US/global sites up to 50% of the time.

Additional Requirements
- Role is on-site Monday through Friday; flexibility to support production schedules, shutdowns, and occasional extended hours; ability to travel to other Lilly sites as required.
