Sr Director - Operations

Role: Senior Director, Operations for Lilly's new API manufacturing facility, leading startup, construction, and post-startup production activities for small molecule or siRNA/oligonucleotide products. Responsibilities: oversee facility delivery, build and develop manufacturing organization and leadership, develop GMP systems, and establish a safety- and quality-focused culture during project delivery (2029–2030). Post-startup, develop operational strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize production workflows, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and develop future leaders. Requirements: bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, 10+ years of pharmaceutical operations leadership, with experience in API manufacturing and cGMP compliance. Preferred: background in process safety management, project management, and cross-functional team collaboration.
