Senior Director of Marketing, Lilly Brand Office

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the enterprise lead for the Lilly brand, owning brand governance system, visual identity standards, and brand book; ensure consistent, compliant application globally.
- Translate masterbrand strategy into operational frameworks that enable teams to deliver with confidence and adherence to brand policies.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of brand marketers and creatives; foster curiosity, accountability, and continuous development.
- Provide strategic creative direction and oversee Lilly brand across above- and below-the-line assets; balance brand integrity with strategic objectives in a complex global business.
- Build and sustain trusted partnerships across senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a matrixed, ambiguous environment.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships; set expectations, hold partners accountable to scope/quality/strategic intent, and evaluate performance.
- Design and sustain operational infrastructure, tools, resources, and brand assets to enable efficient, effective, compliant brand use at scale; build scalable processes to reduce friction and increase consistency.
- Oversee Brand Office budget management to ensure strategic allocation and measurable impact.
- Partner with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Privacy, and IT to ensure brand governance meets regulatory and policy standards.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree minimum.
- 10+ yearsโ€™ experience in brand management or related brand marketing.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not provide visa/work authorization sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-directed leader with a proven track record of driving strategy to action while keeping teams engaged and aligned.
- Ability to lead and influence across functions and levels without direct authority.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking; quick sound decisions in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
- Highly collaborative; experienced navigating and leading within complex matrixed organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, budgets, and cross-functional workstreams with operational rigor.
- Inclusive leader committed to working effectively within diverse teams.
- Experience in a creative agency environment; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, print production, and brand merchandising (plus).

Other:
- Position located in Indianapolis, IN.
- May require up to 15% travel.
