Role Summary

The Senior Director, Access Marketing and Patient Support Services plays a pivotal role in ensuring patient access to Tonix Pharmaceuticals therapies, leading strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving patient-centric programs, directly impacting patient outcomes and contributing to the success of the organization. This role collaborates with the brand team, NADs and MSLs to develop and execute GPO/Payer strategies, national account-specific strategies, and other targets. In partnership with designated PSS vendors, this position will design and execute access services (HUBs, CoPay and other financial support services) to deliver a positive provider and patient experience and optimize script pull-through.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of market access strategy across all market access segments and execution plan
  • Build a value proposition by articulating the business strategy and economic choices for each stakeholder
  • Build access and patient support program awareness, perception, and proficiency with HCPs through field teams (Sales and Field Access)
  • Integrate patient services strategy into Tonixโ€šร„รดs broader market access strategy to optimize patient access post-approval
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and develop plans of action for issues throughout the patient journey
  • Synthesize data/analytics with PSS partners and CommOps to evaluate the HCP and patient journey
  • Own all customer-facing materials and communications for market access teams (Payers, IDNs, PBMs)
  • Partner with Brand Marketing, National Accounts, Field Access, MSLs and Patient Services to lead compliant initiatives that drive product and patient outcomes
  • Determine action, execution, tracking and monitoring of projects using scenario planning, segmentation, positioning, and optimization
  • Establish payer engagement plans to support payer education, advisory boards, market research, and payer messaging
  • Support business cases related to access opportunities to assess brand value
  • Coordinate access strategies across all Payer types to drive coverage and reimbursement
  • Serve as content expert for payer, patient services, field access, National Accounts, and reimbursement communications through review/approval processes
  • Build and manage tools to communicate favorable coverage and access status for field messaging

Qualifications

  • Proven record of success with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence multiple levels internally and externally
  • Experience/knowledge of traditional formulary pull-through strategies and tools (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills
  • Proven vendor management experience, particularly with agency partners
  • Demonstrated leadership, judgment, problem solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing budgets

Preferred:

  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 5 years of bio/pharmaceutical experience with understanding of US patient support service models
  • Experience in Market Access Marketing; prior experience required
  • Experience with markets and 505(b)(2) products with payer restrictions (step edits, PA, etc.)

Education

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs Degree from an accredited college/university
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
