Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the external engagement strategy and multi-dimensional marketing plan aligned to U.S. HIV prevention brand goals
- Build demand and credibility for Gilead PrEP products through meaningful engagement with thought leaders, experts, and organizations across diverse HCP audiences
- Oversee projects including peer-to-peer programs, speaker bureaus, advisory boards, congress activities, and educational initiatives
- Translate scientific, clinical, and market insights into clear objectives and compelling HCP-focused content
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with external experts and organizations
- Monitor the evolving HIV prevention landscape and proactively identify strategic opportunities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Sales, Analytics, and Marketing
- Define KPIs, measure performance, and optimize programs based on data and insights
- Manage agency partners, vendors, and marketing budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Ensure activities meet regulatory, legal, and internal compliance standards
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, key accounts, and medical associations
- Evaluate and evolve approaches and systems (as needed)
- Design and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external audiences

- Set vision and operating rhythm for the external engagement team
- Coach, develop, and retain high-performing talent
- Foster inclusion, accountability, and collaboration across teams
- Lead change and continuously improve processes for scale and impact
Basic Qualifications
- 14+ years with BS/BA
- OR 12+ years with MS/MA or MBA
Preferred Qualifications / Required Skills
- Bachelorβs degree with 12+ years experience; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience (preventative and/or injectable products preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex science into clear, compliant marketing strategies
- Expert understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
- Cross-functional leadership and external partnership development experience
- Experience managing and collaborating with agency partners
- Strong communications skills (written, spoken, presentations) and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills; ability to execute complex initiatives
- Track record building and maintaining partnerships; strong influence and negotiation skills
- Launch/portfolio management experience preferred
- Comfortable discussing HIV prevention topics (sexual health, mental health, substance use); HIV or HIV-adjacent experience plus
- Ability to travel up to 30%

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Salary range: $261,375.00 - $338,250.00
- May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package (company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life insurance)
