Job Description
You will be part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team focused on increasing awareness, knowledge, relevancy, and usage of PrEP as preventative health.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the external engagement strategy and multi-dimensional marketing plan aligned to U.S. HIV prevention brand goals.
- Build demand and credibility for Gilead PrEP products through engagement with thought leaders, experts, and organizations across diverse HCP audiences.
- Direct and oversee multiple projects (peer-to-peer programs, speaker bureaus, advisory boards, congress activities, educational initiatives).
- Translate scientific, clinical, and market insights into clear objectives and HCP-focused content.
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with external experts/organizations.
- Monitor the evolving HIV prevention landscape and identify strategic opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration (Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Sales, Analytics, Marketing).
- Define KPIs, measure performance, and optimize programs based on data.
- Manage agency partners, vendors, and marketing budgets to ensure on-time/on-budget delivery.
- Ensure activities meet regulatory/legal/internal compliance standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, key accounts, and medical associations.
- Evaluate and evolve approaches and systems as needed.
- Design/deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Lead pharmaceutical communications across traditional and non-traditional channels.
- Contribute to annual local strategic plan and tactical planning aligned to brand objectives and educational priorities.

- Set vision and operating rhythm; coach/develop/retain talent.
- Foster inclusion, accountability, and collaboration.
- Lead change and improve processes for scale and impact.

Basic Qualifications
- 14+ years with BS/BA OR 12+ years with MS/MA or MBA.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing (preferably preventative and/or injectable products).
- Experience translating complex science into clear, compliant marketing strategies.
- Cross-functional leadership and external partnership development.
- Expert understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Comfort discussing HIV prevention topics (sexual health, mental health, substance use); HIV/HIV-adjacent experience a plus.
- Agency partner management and strong communications/attention to detail.
- Influence/negotiation; strong project management; launch/portfolio management preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
