Role Summary

Sr. Director, Infrastructure & Operations overseeing global IT infrastructure, service desk, and related operations to ensure performance, security, and scalability. Lead data centers, cloud platforms, networking, disaster recovery, and user support to deliver high-quality employee experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management
    • Oversee the comprehensive management of the global IT infrastructure
    • Cloud platforms: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS primary; Azure and GCP as supports)
    • Networking systems: Design, implement, and maintain robust networking solutions
    • Disaster recovery protocols: Develop and execute disaster recovery plans
    • Cloud Strategy: Develop multi-cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP
    • Storage management: Oversee storage solutions for data integrity and availability
    • Server management: Ensure reliability, performance, and security of physical and virtual servers; patch management
    • Backup and recovery: Implement and maintain backup/recovery solutions
    • Database administration: Manage and optimize databases for performance and security
    • Data centers: Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
    • Laptops: Manage laptop images and assets; include patch management strategy
    • CMDB Management: Maintain up-to-date CMDB for assets and resources
    • Compliance and governance: Ensure IT practices comply with policies and regulations
    • Capacity planning: Forecast infrastructure capacity to support growth
  • Service Desk Management
    • Provide timely, effective, and comprehensive global employee support
    • Support Procedures: Develop and implement procedures to uphold service standards
    • User Support: Enhance employee experience through efficient service desk operations
  • Audio/Visual Management
    • Administer and enhance audio/visual systems
    • Zoom: Manage Zoom for organization-wide collaboration
    • All Hands and Multi-Media Events: Lead team for corporate events with high-touch support
    • Other AV systems: Maintain and improve other AV systems
  • Microsoft Technologies Management
    • Teams: Ensure seamless Teams usage
    • M365: Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services
    • Active Directory: Manage and maintain AD for secure access
  • Monitoring Systems
    • Establish and maintain monitoring to identify and resolve issues
    • Performance Monitoring
    • Availability Monitoring
    • Security Monitoring: Partner with security team on monitoring solutions
  • Strategic Technology Planning
    • Lead technology planning aligning IT with growth objectives
    • Technology Roadmapping
    • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative tech solutions
  • Operational Capability
    • Manage global IT operations with strong operational capabilities
    • IT Service Management (ITSM)
    • Integration: Collaborate with CISO and business tech leaders

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing global infrastructure and service desk teams in a high-growth environment
  • Strong project management skills with complex project execution
  • Expertise in cloud technologies and data center management
  • Excellent team-building and leadership abilities

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director level or higher)
  • Proven experience overseeing enterprise infrastructure, cloud transformations, data centers, networking, and disaster recovery
  • Experience leading service desk/support and improving end-user satisfaction
  • Experience managing hybrid IT environments and driving innovation

Education

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Masterโ€šร„รดs degree (MBA or MIS) strongly preferred
