Key Responsibilities:
- Provide communications leadership and counsel to the Head of GSK’s US vaccines business and vaccines leadership team.
- Lead integrated communications for the US vaccines portfolio; lead a small team and align cross-functional and global teams.
- Deliver clear, data-driven, science-based messaging for HCPs, patients, payers, policymakers, media, and influencers.
- Plan and execute brand, disease-awareness, PR, and influencer campaigns.
- Develop public affairs and advocacy strategies to advance access, coverage, and policy goals.
- Own external and reputational issues and crisis communications; coordinate rapid responses.
- Lead internal and external communication strategy and plan execution supporting performance, transformation, and culture.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner and vaccines subject matter expert across US and global communications.
- Partner with corporate media to secure positive recognition and media coverage of milestones and company strategy.
- Measure impact (KPIs, sentiment, ROI) and optimize tactics using data.
- Manage/develop communications team and external agencies; ensure compliance with GSK standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years communications experience.
- 3+ years in product communications/change management/issues management/media relations and understanding investor relations and/or brand marketing.
- 3+ years leading people (direct line leadership).
- 3+ years working in global and/or cross-functional teams.
- Vaccines experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- 3+ years in vaccines/pharma/corporate healthcare/public health/federal government.
- Experience building talent pipelines; strong strategic and tactical communications.
- Deep understanding of US healthcare environment, regulatory processes (FDA, CDC/ACIP), and access/reimbursement.
- Experience with advocacy organizations; excellent integrity and judgment.
- Budget/agency management and strong organizational/project management.
- Ability to manage issues/crises and multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
