Role: Senior Director, Head of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) at Moderna, leading strategic and scientific development of systems pharmacology capabilities to support drug discovery and early clinical development. Responsibilities: define and implement QSP vision across therapeutic areas, develop mechanistic models (disease progression, target engagement, immune dynamics), and integrate multi-scale data for decision-making; collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, translational medicine, DMPK, and clinical sciences; lead external partnerships and represent Moderna at scientific forums; oversee QSP capabilities, talent, and vendor management; contribute to regulatory filings and model-informed decision-making. Requirements: Ph.D. in systems pharmacology, bioengineering, applied mathematics, pharmacology, or related field; 10+ years in industry with at least 7 years supporting oncology and immuno-oncology programs; extensive experience with mechanistic modeling, PK/PD, and biomarker integration; proficiency in MATLAB/SimBiology, R, Python; proven leadership in scientific mentoring and cross-functional collaboration; ability to operate strategically and communicate complex insights. Preferred: experience with mRNA, gene therapy, biologics, immuno-oncology, PBPK modeling, digital twin, and external scientific publication record.
