Build and Lead the OpEx Function
- Establish the OpEx vision, operating model, org structure and multi-year road map.
- Build and mentor an operational excellence team for enterprise transformation.
- Partner with EPIX functional leads to embed operational discipline across the clinical lifecycle and GCO.
Standardize Operating Models
- Assess current operating models and map end-to-end processes to improve efficiency and speed.
- Design harmonized, scalable processes for planning, forecasting, feasibility, budgeting, execution, enrollment management and closeout.
- Develop governance to reduce variability across functions and geographies.
- Lead “way of working” harmonization across Innovative and Generics.
Own Metrics and KPI Governance
- Define/maintain KPIs aligned to quality timelines, predictability, vendor performance, patient/site experience, and cost.
- Design dashboards and performance reviews for study/functional/portfolio decisions.
- Ensure metrics are actionable with accountability escalation and performance improvement.
Lead Enterprise Operational Initiatives
- Champion continuous improvement across planning, execution, governance, and vendor management.
- Drive adoption of new processes, systems, tools, and behaviors via change management and training.
- Shape decision-making frameworks for portfolio prioritization and resourcing.
- Drive process simplification and technology enhancements to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
Ensure Readiness and Scalability
- Define readiness criteria for key study milestones.
- Build structures for portfolio expansion, new modalities, and increasing complexity.
- Align with technology, digital, and AI/ML teams to maximize adoption.
- Oversee resource allocation and governance for GCO.
Your Skills and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a scientific, engineering, or supply chain discipline preferred.
Experience (Required)
- 12+ years in Clinical Operations, Operational Excellence, R&D Strategy, or related transformation roles.
- Proven success designing enterprise operating models, governance, and performance systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable cycle-time, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Strong KPI/metrics analytics and operational dashboards.
- Influence senior leaders; drive adoption in complex global matrix environments.
- Lead high-performing teams and large-scale operational change.
- Travel: routine domestic and international travel.
Experience (Preferred)
- Experience across both large/established and smaller/mid-sized pharma in transformational/high-growth environments.
- Predictive analytics, digital enablement AI/ML applications, and scenario modeling.
- Lean Six Sigma or advanced continuous improvement certification.
