Sr. Director – Enterprise Pandemic Preparedness and Response

Role: Senior Director, Pandemic Preparedness and Response, leading Lilly's enterprise strategies for infectious disease risk management, public health emergency response, and organizational resilience. Responsibilities include establishing governance frameworks, advising executive leadership on emerging biological threats, overseeing global surveillance, and developing contingency plans across R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions. The role also involves leading crisis response efforts, representing Lilly in external health security partnerships, and conducting organizational readiness exercises. Qualifications: PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent in Public Health, Epidemiology, Infectious Disease, or related fields; 10+ years in public health preparedness, infectious disease management, or pharmaceutical operations. Preferred skills include crisis management leadership, experience with regulatory agencies (FDA, EMA, WHO), and GxP environment knowledge. High-value specifics: focus on infectious disease risk management, pandemic response, vaccine and biologics context, global health security, and cross-functional enterprise impact. The role reports to the VP/Chief Scientific Officer, Infectious Disease, and requires collaboration across multiple internal departments and external health agencies.
