General Summary:
- Senior Director, BSMO (Biopharmaceutical Sciences & Manufacturing Operations) Muscular Dystrophy (MD) Disease Area Lead represents BSMO at the MD Disease Strategy Team (DST). Provides strategic and operational leadership for all BSMO activities supporting MD DST programs, driving integrated BSMO strategy, alignment, and execution across Pharmaceutical Sciences, CMTO, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance, and other functions to support development, launch, and lifecycle management.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of BSMO program strategy for MD programs, aligned with disease, clinical, and commercial strategies.
- Serve as BSMO representative on the MD DST, supporting governance, planning, and risk discussions.
- Provide integrated leadership across Pharmaceutical Sciences, CMTO, Quality, and Supply Chain (and external partners) to ensure program readiness.
- Partner to integrate plans to develop and commercialize disease area products with regulatory compliance.
- Support CMC regulatory strategy and submissions with Regulatory; coordinate health authority interactions as needed.
- Lead cross-functional BSMO teams to deliver program milestones in a matrix environment.
- Identify/manage program-level technical, operational, and supply risks; ensure escalation and mitigation.
- Own BSMO budgets, forecasts, and resource plans; track and communicate program status, KPIs, and risks to BSMO and DST leadership.

Knowledge And Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing, development, and/or supply.
- Cross-functional alignment capability (R&D, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, strategic thinking, and matrix leadership; strong leadership and ability to influence beyond direct control.

Education And Experience:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; PhD and/or MBA preferred.
- 12+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Experience leading cross-functional program teams.

Compensation:
- Pay range: $218,400 - $327,600; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
