Role Summary
The Sr. Director, Citizen Development & AI Products leads Pfizer’s no- and low-code tooling strategy and enablement for non-coder colleagues. They own the technical toolset, architecture, and roadmap for Citizen Development, and serve as the vision-aligned leader coordinating across Digital and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI-driven products and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Technical Strategy: Anticipate citizen development needs, select appropriate technical approaches, communicate strategy to stakeholders and delivery teams, articulate the vision to non-technical colleagues, and define boundaries between citizen development and pro-code/traditional software.
- High Level Architecture: Develop high-level architectures for the Citizen Development ecosystem, define effective connection patterns, drive platform/tool decisions, and guide integration across the ecosystem.
- Leadership: Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical audiences, collaborate with leadership inside and outside of Digital, and solve problems proactively.
- Innovative Thinking: Drive novel solutions, champion out-of-the-box ideas for technical, architectural, and process challenges, with deep familiarity in Generative AI, AI agents, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Product Management: Manage product owners and technical leads for citizen development products and related tools; collaborate with vendors, platform providers, and delivery teams to connect the ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Education: Required — Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field with at least 12 years of applicable experience; Preferred — Master's degree.
- Experience: Required — Proven experience in software development, large-scale applications, Generative AI, or related field; desirable — experience in consumer digital products and related technical project management roles.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation abilities; capability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Technical Skills: Strong software development proficiency; deep Generative AI experience within software applications; understanding of non-developers’ use cases and how to apply no/low-code tools; platform-as-product mindset; proficiency with AI agentic tools such as Copilot and Copilot Studio.
- Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams; experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects; experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date with Generative AI trends and best practices; understanding of app development, UX, and Generative AI development tools.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree.
