Role Summary

The Senior Director, Business Information Services (BIS) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Dermatology business unit’s applications, platforms, systems, and data warehouse. This role directs the BIS Sales & Marketing and BIS Market Access delivery teams to align technology capabilities with business priorities, delivering scalable, secure, and integrated solutions across CRM, BI, data platforms, and other critical commercial systems. Requires deep technical expertise, proven leadership, and understanding of pharmaceutical operations including Sales, Marketing, Market and Patient Access, and Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Market and Patient Access, Product Strategy, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Analytics to design and implement a high-performing data strategy for Incyte’s Dermatology franchise, focusing on master data management, data warehousing, BI, and sales force automation.
  • Develop and curate long-term roadmaps and key data assets, BI, and platform solutions aligned with Dermatology needs and goals.
  • Lead strategic alignment, shape requirements, and direct CRM and BI strategy development and implementation with business stakeholders.
  • Manage and direct two BIS teams delivering scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions across CRM, BI, data platforms, and other critical commercial systems.
  • Provide strategic direction and prioritization to developers, business analysts, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Contribute to strategy and execution in architecting new data solutions and onboarding data sources for commercial, market access, and medical teams.
  • Partner with Incyte IT resources to align on technical and security considerations.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation, automation, and business value.
  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, PDMA).
  • State & Federal Reporting: Collaborate with Compliance to prepare and deliver required reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in master data management processes and platforms, with expertise in Dermatology sales, marketing, and market access solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience with business intelligence software and data warehouse platforms.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing and coaching direct reports.
  • Previous experience supporting commercial, medical, and market access applications.
  • Advanced understanding of data warehouse and cloud (Azure/AWS) processes and systems.
  • Experience with Retail, Specialty Pharmacy data, IQVIA Xponent PlanTrak, FIA, LAAD, and copay claims datasets.
  • Experience with integrating and reporting related to Patient Support Hubs preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical business partner supporting key business groups.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, adaptability, and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with consideration of impacts to other systems.
