Job Summary
- Leads a team of direct reports and typically manages other people leaders; may support multiple disease areas/therapeutic areas/biostatistics areas.
- Contributes to short- and long-range Biostatistics strategies, plans, and infrastructure development across Development functions; consults with executives to envision direction, prioritize investment, and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities (selected)
- Exceptional verbal/written communication to engage, influence, and align stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, critical thinking, and strategic acumen; translate scientific/business challenges into actionable plans.
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver development objectives.
- Direct complex, multi-functional programs using data integration/interpretation from internal/external sources.
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership with strategic input.
- Develop deep subject-matter expertise; communicate scientific/statistical concepts with clarity.
- Apply regulatory/statistical knowledge to align with regulatory expectations.
- Oversee a large, complex portfolio of programs/projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 14+ years with BS; 12+ years with MS; 12+ years with PhD/PharmD; 6+ years with MD.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years (MS) or 12+ years (PhD) progressive biostatistics industry experience; track record in biomedical data analysis.
- Leadership scaling biostatistics functions (strategic planning, governance, oversight).
- Expert-level biostatistics knowledge; ability to define/operationalize short- and long-term strategies.

Compensation/Benefits
- Salary Range: Other US Locations $237,575β$307,450; Bay Area $261,375β$338,250. Eligible for discretionary bonus/long-term incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
