Associate General Counsel – R&D/Tech Ops (Hybrid; Warren, NJ)

Responsibilities:
- Advise and support Technical Operations on legal questions/issues and third-party engagements.
- Advise and support Clinical Operations to ensure compliance with clinical best practices and applicable regulation; draft and negotiate clinical trial and vendor agreements for worldwide clinical studies.
- Advise and support Quality on legal matters and documentation related to quality, inspections/audits, and vendor engagements/agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for internal functions and business partners in an effective, efficient, time-sensitive manner.
- Provide practical legal advice; identify and resolve critical legal and business issues related to internal operations and third-party engagements.
- Help build and drive a culture of compliance with business partners across the organization and with relevant outside parties.
- Perform other tasks/assignments as needed by management.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor; minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience, including at least 2 years law firm and at least 5 years in-house in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology (or related) environment.
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (or eligible for a limited in-house NJ license).
- Knowledge of life-science/pharmaceutical regulations and industry guidance for worldwide clinical trials, quality matters, and applicable regional standards.
- Experience supporting technical operations (CMC/supply chain), worldwide clinical trials, and/or quality matters.
- Experience supporting quality functions, including quality documentation and regulatory audits/inspections.
- Leadership in managing legal issues and processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral/written communication; ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent planning/organization/time management; ability to manage multiple projects and meet frequent deadlines.

Preferred:
- Experience supporting R&D and technical operations.

Travel: 10–15%.
