A Day in the Life

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate project activities and deliverables across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and priorities.
• Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying and mitigating any issues or risks that may arise.

Product Rollouts:

• Lead the planning and execution of commercial product launches, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure key commercial deliverables are met to achieve product launch requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure full alignment to service strategies to implement changes in the field.
• Provide support to the commercial teams during product rollout phases, ensuring smooth transition and customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life

Leads cross-functional global teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key commercial projects including product launches. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Cultivate a broad understanding of Medtronic's Surgical Robotics and Instrumentation, leveraging this knowledge to drive project success.

Nice to Have

• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
• Experience with surgical robotics technology or other medical devices is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including scope, budget, timelines, and risk management.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams.
• Experience in IT, commercial, or engineering projects.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:

Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

• May have practical knowledge of project management.
• Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):

$88,800.00 - $133,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
