About The Role
Supports Business Development activities through identification, scientific evaluation, and analysis of potential licensing opportunities and partnerships in the biopharmaceutical space. Conducts comprehensive search and evaluation and generates competitive landscapes to identify promising therapeutic assets and technologies to expand the pipeline. Performs detailed scientific assessment (mechanism of action, preclinical/clinical data, therapeutic/market potential). Participates in due diligence (review of scientific documentation and coordination with subject matter experts). Develops business cases and leads deal execution with business, IP, and legal comprehension. Assists with proposals, negotiations, and presentations for licensing opportunities; works cross-functionally to advance BD objectives.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Manage BD transaction projects from early development through commercialization
- Lead cross-functional internal/external teams to meet objectives and timelines
- Lead/assist due diligence on product and technology opportunities; conduct valuation work
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, companies, and relevant therapeutic areas
- Partner with R&D to determine priority/focus of external opportunities
- Coordinate diligence meetings; develop and review contracts with Legal, IP, and Finance
- Coordinate partnering conferences; outreach to academic and corporate collaborators
- Conduct background research and create/review BD presentations; support BD team infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, governmental regulations, and best practices
- Select/develop/evaluate personnel; other duties as assigned

Requirements
- BS/BA (life sciences/finance/business or similar) + 8+ years BD/VC/investment research/investment banking/corporate development (2+ years preferred in biotech/pharma scientific role) OR
- Master’s (scientific field) or MBA + 6+ years OR
- PhD (scientific field) + 4+ years
- Knowledge of search/evaluation of preclinical/clinical assets and platforms in Neurology/Immunology/Endocrinology/Psychiatry across modalities (e.g., small molecules, antibodies, peptides, oligonucleotides, gene therapy)
- R&D biotech/pharma experience with some BD/VC/investment research/investment banking/corporate development exposure
- Strong scientific acumen, competitive landscape knowledge, biopharmaceutical technology/product development/regulatory knowledge
- Project management/leadership; analytical/creative problem-solving; prioritization/multitasking; strong communication and collaboration
- Proficiency in MS Office
