Role: Senior Engineer I in Automated Systems Engineering focused on developing GMP-ready automation solutions for bioassay workflows. Responsibilities: lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of automated cell-based bioassay systems, translating early prototypes into scalable, regulated environments; collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to ensure biological and operational robustness; troubleshoot biological performance and automation issues; develop systems aligned with GMP data integrity and traceability standards. Qualifications: BS with 8+ years, MS with 5+ years, or PhD in Engineering, Biology, or related fields; hands-on experience with cell-based bioassays, laboratory automation hardware/software, and working in GLP/GMP settings; programming expertise with liquid handlers and automation platforms. Preferred: experience supporting validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), lifecycle management, and deploying automation in regulated labs; familiarity with systems like Hamilton STAR/Vantage, cobots, decappers, and scheduling software; proven ability to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. High-Value: biologics development support, GMP compliance, automation for cell culture, transfection, and bioassay sample prep; site-based role requiring full-time presence. Work setup: onsite; no remote option.
