Job Responsibilities:
- Design and execute in vivo studies using CDX, PDX, and syngeneic mouse models to assess tumor growth kinetics, biodistribution, therapeutic efficacy, and durability across treatment modalities (including radiopharmaceutical agents).
- Perform in vivo procedures: cell culture; tumor cell/PDX fragment implantation; surgical modeling; IV dosing; tumor and body weight monitoring; periodic blood collection; necropsy.
- Independently analyze/interpret data and present results to project teams, departmental reviews, and company forums.
- Conduct in vitro mechanistic experiments (post-training): cell viability/cytotoxicity assays, proliferation analysis, mechanistic assays (e.g., apoptosis, DNA damage response), and pathway interrogation (molecular biology techniques).
- Maintain meticulous experimental records per regulatory/internal standards.
- Work with radioactive materials in compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Support experimental design/planning and translational/in vivo pharmacology efforts under project leads, including adherence to animal welfare guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (translational research, medicinal chemistry, other disciplines) and support lab operations (inventory, equipment maintenance, compliance documentation).
- Uses AI tools to enhance individual productivity and quality of work.
Education and Experience (Required/Preferred):
- BS with 4+ years or MS with 2+ years in in vivo pharmacology, translational research, biology, molecular biology, or related field (hands-on lab experience).
- Prior translational/pharmacology experience in industry or academia is preferred.
Skills:
- Hands-on cell culture; tumor cell/fragment implantation; animal handling/surgery; dosing (IV required); necropsy.
- Cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques (viability assays, ELISA, western blot, etc.).
- Strong written/oral communication and presentation; interpersonal/organizational skills; works well in interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work with radioisotopes and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
