Sr. Associate Scientist, Radiochemistry
Summary
- Conduct research, experiments, and analysis in radiochemistry, including radiolabeling diagnostic/therapeutic radioisotopes of peptides, small molecules, and/or antibodies, plus quality testing for in vitro and in vivo work.
Job Responsibilities (Essential)
- Develop radiochemistry methods using Lu-177, Ac-225, Cu-64, and Ga-68 to prepare radiolabeled peptides and small molecules.
- Develop/execute characterization methods for radiolabeled compounds (e.g., radio-HPLC, radio-TLC) to assess purity and stability.
- Develop methods/recipes and perform regular syntheses of radiotracers on automated synthesis devices.
- Work independently and troubleshoot.
- Present at meetings to provide timely input to progress programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Education and Experience
- BS with 3 years in radiochemistry (or related scientific work), or MS with 1+ year in radiochemistry (or related scientific work).
- Follow proper radiation safety practices during radiosynthesis and radioanalytical chemistry operations.
Skills
- Hands-on radiometal labeling and analytical methods development in a radiochemistry lab.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Professional ethics/integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Compensation Overview
- San Diego - CA: $95,505 - $115,730 (final pay based on experience).
