Role: Senior Associate Scientist specializing in histology within Regeneron's Obesity, Metabolism and Muscle Diseases Group, supporting multiple research programs. Objectives: deliver high-quality tissue processing, staining, imaging, and data analysis to advance preclinical research. Responsibilities: process diverse tissues (liver, brain, muscle, adipose), perform routine and specialized histological staining, develop and validate IHC, IF, and ISH protocols, acquire and analyze digital images, and produce figures for reports and publications. Requirements: BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years in histology or related field; proficiency in tissue processing, staining, IHC/IF assay development, and digital pathology software (e.g., HALO). Preferred: experience with in situ hybridization platforms such as RNAscope or FISH. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on preclinical research for metabolic and muscle disease indications, working in GxP-like environments with rigorous quality standards. Collaboration involves multiple research program stakeholders; reporting to senior scientists. Location: onsite in Tarrytown, NY; no travel specified.
