What You Will Achieve
- Part of Drug Product Design and Development (DPDD) in Pharmaceutical Research and Development (PhRD).
- Develop parenteral formulations for biologics (monoclonal antibodies, peptide therapeutics, antibody drug conjugates, proteins, vaccines).
- Perform analytical characterization of candidate molecules using biophysical/biochemical techniques.
- Assist with drug product manufacturing process development; compile data, create presentations, and write reports.

Responsibilities
- Develop parenteral formulations and assist in manufacturing process development (under general supervision).
- Rapidly characterize molecules to determine stability and support appropriate dosage form development for clinical needs using methods including UPLC (SE/RP, IEX), SDS-PAGE, LC-MS, CGE, iCE, UV/fluorescence spectroscopy, Circular Dichroism, and FTIR.
- Assist in development and scale-up from bench to pilot scale and support technology transfer (as needed), e.g., fluid transport, sterilizing filtration, lyophilization.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams on formulation optimization.
- Prepare data summaries/presentations and author technical reports.

Qualifications
- BS in Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent + 2+ years relevant industry experience.
- Ability to follow established procedures independently.
- Working knowledge of analytical methods (SE-UPLC/RP-UPLC/IEX, peptide mapping, SDS-PAGE, CGE, iCE, spectroscopy).
- Demonstrated scientific documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- MS degree and 0–2 years experience.
- Experience in biologics/vaccine development; 2–4 years hands-on analytical lab experience.
- Familiarity with GMP; parenteral manufacturing requirements; container/closure integrity; unit operations.
- Practical knowledge of lyophilization and cycle development.

Additional
- Lab-based role operating analytical/formulation equipment; occasional travel.

Compensation/Benefits (if considered)
- Base salary: $68,600–$114,300; bonus target 7.5%; eligible for Pfizer Global Performance Plan and benefits (401k, paid time off, health coverage).
