Role Summary
Regeneron is currently seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist to join our Infectious Diseases team focused on combating viral pathogens. The individual will use their knowledge of immunological and virological assays in a variety of in vitro and in vivo models to contribute to exciting projects.
Responsibilities
- Performing serological assays (e.g., ELISAs) and cellular immunological experiments (e.g., ELISPOT, cell-killing assays)
- Designing and executing in vivo studies to evaluate therapeutics and collecting tissues for downstream analysis, such as multicolor flow cytometry
- Performing molecular biology tasks such as cloning, including virus reverse genetics, as well as qPCR and in vitro transcription
- Designing and executing in vitro virological experiments, such infectivity, neutralization, and effector function assays
- Troubleshooting methodological and technical issues
- Interpreting experimental data and literature, and communicating results in various scientific settings
Qualifications
- Required: BS with 6+ years of experience or MS with 3+ years of experience with knowledge in molecular virology/immunology techniques; ability to perform immunological research in a BSL2 environment; strong background in immunology, virology, and/or infectious diseases; skills including Flow Cytometry, ELISAs, ELISpots, molecular biology, and functional cellular immune assays; cell culture; previous experience in animal handling.
