Sr. Advisor - AI/ML Product Owner

Responsibilities:
- Own the CMC Operational Data Product end-to-end (definitions, data contracts, quality standards, lifecycle).
- Partner with Data Foundation to enforce naming/field standards, automate pipelines, and remove manual reconciliation across PRD.
- Define and track data-product health KPIs (freshness, completeness, lineage, adoption).
- Make and document data governance decisions (authoritative sources, retire duplicates, change communication).
- Design/build the AI interactive layer on top of the governed Data Hub and Power BI semantic model (agent queries run under authenticated user identity).
- Build AI accuracy/validation framework (evolve from AI mindset to predictive risk models, early-warning signals, ask-the-portfolio).
- Independently architect/build core components (pipelines, semantic-model extensions, AI/agent interfaces) and set reusable architecture patterns.
- Translate technical work into executive-ready narratives; challenge legacy manual processes.
- Coordinate with Data Engineer and Insights Lead; partner with IT/Tech@Lilly to scale from MVP to enterprise.
- Represent architecture in governance forums; ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, data privacy standards, and company policies.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD/Masterβs preferred; or Bachelorβs required (CS/Eng/Data Science/Bioinformatics/related). Experience: PhD 6+ yrs, MS 9+ yrs, BS 12+ yrs.
- 8β10+ yrs building production data and AI/ML architectures; proven product launch/scaling from conception to adoption.
- Strong ML/DL, NLP, computer vision; AI/ML platforms/cloud (AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Azure ML).
- Translate technical concepts to business; strong analytical/problem-solving.
- Partnering with IT/enterprise teams for cloud hosting, security review, operations; data governance, MLOps, responsible AI.
- Preferred: 3β5 yrs with governed enterprise data (row-level security, identity-based access control, semantic modeling); agile (Scrum/Kanban); life sciences/pharma familiarity.
Compensation/Benefits (if eligible):
- Anticipated wage: $144,000β$231,000; may include company bonus.
