Role Summary

Senior Accountant within Collaboration Accounting, actively participating in monthly and quarterly close processes with a focus on accounting for revenue-generating collaboration agreements. Responsible for preparing and analyzing expense and balance sheet analyses, and coordinating with Industrial Operations and Supply Chain on inventory-related transactions that generate revenue. Collaborates with Accounting & Finance teams, senior leadership, and other business personnel to prepare schedules, present results, and accurately account for transactions, while ensuring SOX controls and accounting policies are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Understand complex collaboration agreements, including expense reimbursement and related accounts receivable
  • Prepare and review various expense schedules
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals and reclassifications in partnership with Finance
  • Prepare and review journal entries, supporting schedules, and account analyses
  • Coordinate with Industrial Operation and Supply Chain Accounting to report on Collaboration Inventory transactions and related revenue/reimbursement
  • Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux explanations for Management
  • Perform quarterly reconciliation of accounts receivable with Finance
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Policies and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings with internal and external parties
  • Demonstrate knowledge of US GAAP and its application to tasks
  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Required: BS degree in Accounting; 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Preferred: CPA track; experience with financial applications
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
