SPO Mechanical Technician

Role: Sterile and Packaging Operations Technician supporting startup and routine operations at a vaccine manufacturing facility, focusing on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and GMP compliance. Responsibilities: perform preventive and corrective maintenance on formulation, filling, inspection, and packaging equipment; support environmental monitoring; assist in equipment installation, qualification, and continuous improvement; ensure safety, documentation accuracy, and adherence to cGMP standards; collaborate with engineers, vendors, and operations teams. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, 5+ years industrial maintenance or 2-year technical degree with 3+ years experience; strong mechanical, electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read electrical prints, P&IDs, and control diagrams; capable of working independently and in aseptic environments; willing to support multi-shift schedules. Preferred: experience in vaccine or pharmaceutical GMP settings, aseptic filling, serialization, or pharmaceutical packaging; knowledge of lean manufacturing, CAPA, and MES systems; proficiency with machine shop tools and technical writing.
