Specimen Return Specialist II (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

Role: Specimen Return Specialist II responsible for managing FMI’s specimen return operations, crucial for laboratory function and patient care. Responsibilities: generate shipping labels, prepare and package FFPE blocks and reports, update tracking systems, collaborate with Client Services for expedited requests, and ensure regulatory compliance in a CLIA-regulated environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma; 1+ year experience in data entry, shipping, or block procurement; preferred associate’s degree, 2+ years in clinical laboratory settings, experience with CLIA, FDA, or CAP regulated labs. Skills: attention to detail, multitasking in fast-paced labs, chemical handling, computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong organizational and communication abilities. High-Value: laboratory operations, specimen shipping, CLIA/regulated environment, histology, tissue block management, and compliance. Work Setup: onsite in Boston, MA.
