Specimen Processor

Role: Specimen Processor I responsible for preparing and managing laboratory specimens in a high-throughput clinical environment. Objectives include accurate specimen handling, data entry, and ensuring specimens are properly sorted, labeled, stored, and shipped. Core responsibilities encompass unpacking, identifying, labeling, and resolving issues with specimens, along with data management and compliance with SOPs. Requirements: High School diploma or GED; preferred 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, or related fields; comfort with biological specimens, strong attention to detail, organizational and data entry skills; ability to lift up to 40lbs and pass colorblindness test. High-Value: support laboratory testing operations, specimen processing, and data entry in a clinical diagnostics setting. Work setup: onsite in Raleigh, NC, Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm, with rotating weekends, involving handling biological samples in a fast-paced environment.
