Specimen Processor - 2nd Shift

Role: Specimen Processing Specialist responsible for preparing and managing laboratory specimens in a high-throughput clinical environment. Objectives involve accurate specimen identification, data entry, and timely processing for diagnostic testing. Responsibilities include specimen labeling, packaging, shipping, troubleshooting sample issues, and communicating with client staff. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience in labs, data entry, or healthcare; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and proficiency with MS Office. Preferred: additional healthcare or patient-facing experience; comfort handling biological specimens; team collaboration skills; passing color blindness test. High-Value: clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, data entry in diagnostic labs, onsite in Albany, NY. Work setup: onsite, Tuesday–Friday 4:30 pm–1:00 am, Saturday 3:30 pm–8:30 pm, with potential for physical handling of specimens and high-volume processing.
