Specimen Acessioner (2nd Shift)

Role: Specimen Processor I at Labcorp, responsible for preparing, labeling, and dispatching laboratory specimens in a high-throughput environment. Main objectives include ensuring specimen integrity, accurate data entry, and meeting departmental productivity goals. Responsibilities encompass unpacking, routing, storing specimens, and resolving issues with problematic samples. Requirements: High School diploma or GED; 1+ year experience in lab, production, or warehouse settings preferred; comfort handling biological specimens; strong organizational, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Preferred qualifications include experience in medical or production environments. High-value specifics: lab specimen accessioning, sample sorting, data management, and high-volume processing; work in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. Work setup: Monday–Friday 7:00 pm–3:30 am with rotating Saturdays; onsite in Edison, NJ; no travel specified.
