What You Will Do
- Serve as the liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
- Achieve territory sales by:
- Providing current clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Managing accounts (product access, reimbursement triage/resolution, maintaining product contracts).
- Analyzing sales effectiveness/territory analysis and developing territory plans.
- Maintaining product/patient-focused passion throughout the sales cycle.
- Sharing best practices and continuously learning to grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Using disease state awareness plus industry/regulatory/competitive knowledge to deliver results.

Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree + 4 years of Sales OR
- High school diploma/GED + 6 years of Sales

Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field OR
- Associate’s degree + 6 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in relevant therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases)
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Core competency adaptability (planning/organizing, leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, cultivating relationships)
