What You Will Do
- Serve as primary customer contact by providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helping them navigate payer environments.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Communicate current/comprehensive product clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Drive territory sales by delivering branded messages; conducting planned programs; scheduling/following up on medical education; meeting/exceeding sales targets in-person and virtually.
- Develop/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory effectiveness; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact forefront.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR
- High school diploma/GED + 6 years sales
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or relevant non-sales clinical experience (healthcare/scientific) OR
- Associate’s degree + 6 years sales and/or relevant non-sales clinical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or relevant non-sales clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device product or hospital sales (focus areas: oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases)
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; life sciences/business degree; core competency adaptability.
