Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Educate physicians and other health care professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals products, providing the most current information about the approved indications.
- Achieve individual sales goals and productivity objectives.
- Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with company policies and regulatory/legal requirements.
- Analyze the designated territory to understand prescribing and decision processes and differences from national trends.
- Utilize all available resources to educate HCP and staff on products.
- Manage patient flow challenges, helping offices navigate from prescription to insurance criteria to patient access.
- Identify key physicians, health care providers, and organizations within the assigned territory.
- Prepare a business plan and territory tactical plan.
- Implement approved plans within established timelines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other health care professionals identified in business plans.
- Work with cross-functional MSL, Managed Market, and Access & Reimbursement teams to meet the needs of physicians, HCP, and patients compliantly.
- Present a positive, professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and ensure activities align with ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies/procedures.
- Comply with applicable legal/regulatory guidelines (e.g., Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, Prescription Drug Marketing Act, Pharma Code, OIG guidelines, and federal/state regulations).
- Perform all activities within allocated budget.

Required/Preferred Education & Licenses
- Four-year college/university degree or equivalent (required).
- Post-graduate business school study/training (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred).
- At least 2 years specialist sales experience (preferred; e.g., neurologists, pulmonologists, psychiatrists, or sleep specialists).
- Orphan/rare disease therapeutic sales experience (beneficial).
- Current relationships with hospitals, sleep labs, neurologists, pulmonologists, and sleep specialists (preferred).
- Hospital/account-based experience with closed access account navigation (preferred).
- Sleep and Central Nervous System therapeutic sales experience (preferred).
- Experience with both retail and specialty pharmacy products (preferred).
- REMS/hub or central pharmacy experience (helpful).
- Strong knowledge of product(s), competitor product(s), and applicable disease states (desired).
- Strong understanding of payer landscape and ability to discuss managed care criteria for a high-value specialty product (desired).
- Experience planning/executing launch products (beneficial).
- Excellent communication, strong interpersonal, and strong planning/organizational skills (required).
- Self-motivation and ability to excel in a team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
