Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Educate physicians and other healthcare professionals about Jazz products, providing current information about approved indications.
- Achieve individual sales goals and productivity objectives.
- Organize and facilitate meetings to exchange medical and product information in accordance with company policies and all regulatory/legal requirements.
- Analyze the designated territory to understand prescribing/decision processes and deviations from national trends.
- Use available resources to educate HCPs and staff on products.
- Manage patient flow challenges, supporting the process from prescription to insurance criteria to patient access of product.
- Identify key physicians, healthcare providers, and organizations within the assigned territory.
- Prepare a business plan and territory tactical plan for the assigned territory.
- Implement approved plans within established timelines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other HCPs identified in business plans.
- Work with cross-functional MSL, Managed Markets, and Access/Reimbursement teams to meet physician, HCP, and patient needs compliantly.
- Represent Jazz professionally and ensure activities align with ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies and procedures.
- Comply with applicable legal/regulatory guidelines (e.g., FD&C Act, Prescription Drug Marketing Act, Pharma Code, OIG guidelines) and all federal/state regulations.
- Perform all activities within allocated budget.
Required/Preferred Education & Licenses:
- Four-year college/university degree or equivalent (required).
- Post-graduate business school study/training (preferred).
- Minimum five years pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred).
- At least two years of specialist sales experience (preferred) (e.g., neurologists, pulmonologists, psychiatrists, sleep specialists).
- Orphan/rare disease therapeutic sales experience (beneficial).
- Current relationships with hospitals, sleep labs, neurologists, pulmonologists, and sleep specialists (preferred).
- Hospital/account-based experience with closed access account navigation (preferred).
- Sleep and Central Nervous System therapeutic sales experience (preferred).
- Experience with retail and specialty pharmacy products (preferred).
- REMS/hub or central pharmacy experience (helpful).
- Strong knowledge of product(s), competitor product(s), and relevant disease states (desired).
- Strong payer landscape understanding; ability to discuss managed care criteria for high-value specialty product (desired).
- Launch planning and execution experience (beneficial).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills (required).
- Self-motivation and ability to excel in a team environment (required).
- Ability to travel 60–70% to meet territory requirements (required).
US based candidates (compensation/benefits, if applicable):
- Base pay range: $120,000.00–$180,000.00.
- May be eligible for discretionary annual cash bonus/incentive compensation and discretionary equity grants.
