Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, running planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand while keeping patient impact central.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related) OR
- Associate’s degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience (not sales-related) OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience (not sales-related).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales experience in relevant specialties (e.g., cardiology, oncology, inflammation, etc.).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; life sciences or business degree.
