What You Will Do
- Serve as primary customer contact by providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helping navigate payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current, comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Build/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory performance; develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact at the forefront.
- Uphold science-based, ethical, team-oriented values and remain accountable.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical/scientific healthcare experience OR Associate + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product/hospital sales in relevant specialties; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS in Life Sciences/Business; adaptability to planning/organizing, technical knowledge, impact communication, results, internal/external relationships.
