What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Act as primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy to promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages; run planned programs; schedule/follow up on medical educational programs; meet/exceed sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/business effectiveness; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle; build the brand with patient impact as the focus.
- Uphold science-based, ethical, quality-focused Amgen values and collaborate/account for results.
Qualifications
Basic (Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic (Senior Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience OR Associate + 6 years sales/clinical OR High school/GED + 8 years sales/clinical.
Preferred
- 3+ years pharma/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital sales in specified specialties; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; life sciences/business degree; adaptability in core competencies.
