Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages; conducting planned programs; scheduling/following up on medical educational programs; meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Maintain product passion across the sales cycle while keeping patient impact forefront.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate degree + 4 years sales OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific, non-sales) OR Associate degree + 6 years sales and/or clinical experience OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales; product or hospital sales in relevant specialties (e.g., oncology, cardiology, inflammation, infectious diseases, etc.); local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration; adaptability to core competencies.
Benefits/Comp (as stated):
- Specialty Rep salary range: $89,816–$121,602; Senior Specialty Rep: $109,631–$148,325 (actual varies). Total Rewards Plan includes health/welfare, retirement/savings, bonus/incentives, stock incentives, time-off, and flexible work (remote/hybrid where possible).
