Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Serve as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact front and center.
- Uphold values (science-based, ethical conduct, teamwork, trust/respect, quality, accountability).

Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years of Sales experience.

Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate degree + 6 years OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge; established relationships in territory.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with planning/organizing; leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships.
