What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Act as the primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, and scheduling/following up on medical educational programs (in-person and virtual); meet/exceed sales targets.
- Manage accounts by customizing customer interactions based on needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle; build the brand with patient impact front and center.
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years of sales OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years of sales.
Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific) not sales-related OR Associate degree + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in relevant specialties.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
