What You Will Do
- Serve as primary customer contact; provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals and help navigate complex payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead sales to achieve territory sales via branded sales messages, planned programs, medical education follow-up, and meeting/exceeding sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Manage and develop accounts: tailor interactions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory performance and develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Build/maintain brand passion throughout the sales cycle with patient impact top of mind.
Basic Qualifications
Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR HS/GED + 6 years sales.
Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales/healthcare-science clinical experience (non-sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years OR HS/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital experience in relevant specialties (e.g., oncology/cardiology/inflammation, etc.).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability in planning/organizing, leveraging technical knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, and relationship-building.
