Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
What You Will Do
- Primary customer contact; provides clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helps navigate the payer environment.
- Implements marketing strategy and promotes Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets in-person and virtually.
- Manage accounts by customizing interactions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze territory performance and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow (Senior Specialty Representative).
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR Associate’s + 6 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR High school/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device product or hospital sales in relevant specialties; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; bachelor’s in life sciences or business administration; adaptability to planning/organizing, technical knowledge, impactful communication, results focus, and cultivating relationships.
