What You Will Do
- Provide clinical product knowledge to medical professionals and help navigate the complex payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, and scheduling/following up on medical educational programs (in-person and virtual).
- Develop relationships to service/manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact foremost.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales experience OR High school/GED + 6 years sales experience.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales/clinical healthcare/scientific experience (non-sales) OR Associate’s degree + 6 years such experience OR High school/GED + 8 years such experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in relevant specialty areas (e.g., oncology, cardiology, inflammation) and associated diseases/treatments.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
