Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Develop/manage accounts; customize interactions to customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, keeping patient impact at the forefront.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical, quality, teamwork, collaboration, communication, accountability).
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or relevant clinical experience (healthcare/scientific, not sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product/hospital sales experience in relevant specialties (e.g., oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Life Sciences or Business Administration degree.
- Core-competency adaptability (planning, technical/industry knowledge, impactful communication, results, internal/external relationships).
