What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Act as primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, running planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets in-person and virtually.
- Manage accounts by customizing interactions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain product passion across the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact in mind.
Basic Qualifications
Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s OR Associate’s + 4 years sales OR HS/GED + 6 years sales.
Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s + 3 years sales/clinical (non-sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years sales/clinical (non-sales) OR HS/GED + 8 years sales/clinical (non-sales).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales (pharma/biotech/medical device); product or hospital sales in relevant specialties (e.g., oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
