Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical education, and achieving/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain product passion across the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront.
- Uphold Amgen values by acting ethically and remaining accountable.
Qualifications:
- Specialty Representative (Basic): Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
- Senior Specialty Representative (Basic): Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or clinical healthcare/scientific experience (not sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years sales and/or clinical experience OR High school/GED + 8 years sales and/or clinical experience.
Preferred:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in specified therapeutic areas; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
