Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Provide current product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity/territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle, consistently building the brand with patient impact.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical conduct, quality, teamwork, accountability).
Basic Qualifications:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s OR Associate’s + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or clinical healthcare/scientific (non-sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years sales and/or clinical (non-sales) OR High school/GED + 8 years sales and/or clinical (non-sales).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital sales in cardiology or related specialties.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Core competency adaptability (planning/organizing, technical knowledge, impact communication, results, relationships).
