Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Serve as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact front of mind.
- Uphold company values (science-based, ethical conduct, collaboration, accountability).
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR associate degree + 4 years sales OR high school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific field not sales related) OR
associate degree + 6 years sales and/or clinical experience OR
high school/GED + 8 years sales and/or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical device; product or hospital sales in specified specialty areas (oncology, cardiology, inflammation, etc.) and disease/treatment knowledge.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies (planning/organizing, leveraging knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, cultivating relationships).
Benefits/Pay (U.S. excluding Puerto Rico):
- Specialty Representative expected salary range: $89,816–$121,602.
- Senior Specialty Representative expected salary range: $109,631–$148,325.
