What You Will Do:
- Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and help them navigate complex payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities:
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead branded sales efforts: deliver messages, conduct planned programs, schedule/follow up on medical educational programs, and achieve/exceed sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Manage accounts: tailor interactions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze territory/sales effectiveness and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Build/maintain product passion across the sales cycle with patient impact front and center.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical, quality, teamwork, collaboration, accountability).
Basic Qualifications:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s OR Associate’s + 4 yrs sales OR High school/GED + 6 yrs sales.
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s + 3 yrs sales and/or non-sales clinical healthcare/scientific experience OR Associate’s + 6 yrs OR High school/GED + 8 yrs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ yrs sales in pharma/biotech/med device; product/hospital sales in relevant specialties (e.g., cardiology, inflammation); local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Life Sciences or Business Administration degree; adaptability with core competencies.
